A day of retreat, contemplation & relaxation that will help you to soak up the last drops of winter relaxation.
A day of yoga, movement and fresh air to shake off the stiffness and lethargy of winter as we allow ourselves to unfurl into the new year, opening to new possibilities and finding our direction.
A blend of yoga, journalling, time to ‘be’ in nature lightly infused with Chinese 5 Elements theory create a day that will be rich and nourishing.
This retreat is for you if:
🌱You’re feeling tired from the winter – and are longing for more energy.
🌱You’re feeling a bit stuck, stagnant, or frustrated. This is all about getting your energy flowing again.
🌱You’re waiting for the brighter, longer, warmer days
🌱You’re feeling a bit stiff, and you want to get moving.
🌱You love a strong, energising yoga practice with twists & turns!

‘It’s been a week since our yoga retreat and I’m still feeling the benefits. Having the time away from the usual hectic life was so nourishing and I really hope I can make it to the next one.’
Sally Parish, Exmoor

Our day will be filled with sensual delights including:
🌱A slow, strong yoga practice that works deeply into the hips & shoulders – and stretches out and twists our sides. We’ll invite a sense of clarity, playfulness and exploration!
🌱Notice old patterns that we are still holding, literally shake them out! Then we’ll begin to imagine and create new patterns that feel great, fill us with joy and carry us forward!
🌱Work with pressure points to deepen the potency & effect of our practice. Points that help keep our creative energy flowing.
🌱Use our journals to reflect and to find insights that are hidden beneath our conscious thinking.
🌱Walk by the lake, stretch our legs and connect with our beautiful surroundings! Looking at and breathing in the natural world to inspire and to guide us on our journey!
🌱Space…. and time… to feel into your own experience…. to relax… to be.
🌱A Green Smoothie to kick-start the day. A Delicious Exmoor Farmhouse, vegetarian lunch! Hot drinks are available throughout the day
What a wonderful way to spend a winter [day]. Fascinating Chinese theory around the winter element, Water, followed by stretches which definitely helped my mobility afterwards. The relaxation at the end left me feeling positive, refreshed and ready to go! Can’t wait until the spring retreat.
Katherine Daniel – Little Quarme Cottages and Weddings, Exmoor

The freshness, positivity, clarity and sense of freedom that the Wood energy and Spring evoke is inspiring and invigorating.
We can also experience frustration, stuckness, or a lack of direction that leads to indecision and a feeling of being lost or overwhelmed.
Whether you are a Spring lover, or if you find this time of emerging into the world more challenging, the Stretch Into Spring retreat will motivate you and inspire a fresh and clear direction and perspective.

“Nourished in body and mind with Terry, the 5 elements is the most forgiving philosophy to support you and fill your heart. It is full of colour, warmth and nurturing ideas to take with you in life. Terry is a wonderful practitioner. Her sessions feel like the start of something very special for body and mind. Thank you Terry.” Ema Rowe, Wild Wellies – Tales and Treasures

“Yoga with Terry invites a journey of self discovery and I find myself benefiting far more from this slow experiental approach than from faster goal oriented alternatives which now seem unsatisfying.”
Nicky Ramsay, Somerset, England
