Support your transition through Autumn with a morning of yoga, reflection and retreat.

The Autumn season invites us to release. As we let go of what we don’t need any more, we bring clarity and space to our whole being. Then we see more clearly what is important right now. What we need to keep close as we move into Winter.


Our time together will include:

🍂 A yoga practice – focusing on freeing the breath, shoulders and upper body.

🍂 Journalling – to reflect, to remember, to imagine.

🍂 Connecting with Earth’s beauty – to relish the gifts and inspiration that nature offers.

🍂 Relaxation – let go of tension in our body – reconnect to a ‘being’ place within us.

🍂 A delicious seasonal lunch – eating together – we shift from our personal space of retreat and prepare to venture out into our ‘everyday’ lives.

This retreat is for you if:

In harmony with the natural world – our half day retreat will look to the Autumn season for inspiration.  Noticing how the trees, and all of nature is beginning to let go of what’s no longer needed.

With gratitude for what has been, what we have gleaned, endured, enjoyed and relished from this year’s journey, we will gently explore what it feels safe to let go of.

And – we’ll explore what is truly important to us right now. 
We’ll discover what we need to hold close as we journey towards Winter.

In our yoga practice we will breathe deeply.  
We’ll stretch into our shoulders and strengthen our connection to the ground beneath us.  
We’ll develop our awareness of our core, and of the stability it offers.

Nestled within the village of Porlock, and unknown even to many locals, New Place offers the perfect space for our Autumnal retreat.
Once you turn into the drive, and step through the huge oak door, you get a sense that you’re leaving the world behind.
Rambling woods and gardens, cosy rooms and log burning fires add to the sense of being safely held while we retreat for the morning – to rest, replenish and emerge refreshed and renewed.

By breathing deeply and slowly, by stretching and strengthening our shoulders, chest and upper back, we create a sense of space within our body. We can release long held tensions, and free space within us to welcome what is to come.
